TRANSPAC: Day 6
Sunday's position report didn't look so go for our team, at least from the "bean counter's" perspective. My dad assured me that everything was all right, that "race tactics" were being employed. ...kind of like the way my dad shoots pool, I suppose, or why Lance Armstrong doesn't wear the yellow jersey on each stage of the Tour de France. Somehow those two always come out on top when the game is coming to a close, though; cheer on! Go Brown Sugar! 1st SOAP OPERA Map and Another Map

TRANSPAC: Day 4
Today's Position Report Today I discovered that I was looking at a smaller group of vessels (got to learn how to read that position report properly, huh?), so I enlarged the tracking to the 8 vessels listed under Division 5. 1st BROWN SUGAR

TRANSPAC: Day 2
Here is today's position report and photo Yesterday's photos were off because the coordinates were in minutes and I plotted them in decimal. :) I think I'll keep only the most recent map up each day, so expect me to take this one down tomorrow. Go, BROWN SUGAR! UPDATE: Removed old charts

...and They're Off
Paul, a good friend of my family, is currently Sailing in the TRANSPAC '05, the 43rd annual Los Angeles to Honolulu race. My dad is closely following the race and I promised him that I would post the daily position report for Paul's entry, BROWN SUGAR, here on the blog. BROWN SUGAR (5B) is an Express 37 and is racing in Division 5. POSITION REPORT: 050712 0800hrs PST UPDATE: The pictures I posted here were wrong; when dad gave me the Lat Long I thought they were in decimal, they were in minutes.
