CBS Affiliates deluged with e-mail complaints

It looks like the e-mail campaign managed by Mike Krempasky of RatherGate.com, Va was incredibly successful. I sent my own letter hours ago, before I went clothes shopping with my wife. I read it to her and asked her opinon, just to make sure that I wasn't too snarky.

Yes, I am a walking stereotype. Me male. Me hate leisure shopping. Exempt online shopping. I can click-through cool stuff for extended periods. Say, twenty minutes.

Anyway.

Here is the letter I sent using the most excellent e-mail form at RatherGate.com

As a now-former CBS viewer I wanted to let you know that I abhor the conduct that your station actively condones as a CBS affiliate. From the transparently poor journalistic ethics demonstrated by Dan Rather and his team to the absence of taking responsibility by the CBS management… to the firing of Brian Maloney for representing his listening audience by criticizing Dan Rather and his team... you have lost my loyalty. I will no longer watch my favorite CBS shows. I will actively avoid companies who advertise on CBS and your affiliate station. (They are now conveniently listed on the Internet)

I doubt that you will ever regain my viewership because I sincerely doubt that your station or CBS will make any substantial overtures to the disenfranchised viewers like myself.

Refusing to air anything related to Dan Rather and Mary Mapes would be a start. Not the news, just them. Anything they are associated with will forever be tainted in my eyes.

Very Respectfully,

Michael Cummins
Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Why don't you write one of your own?
