I will be the first to admit that I find abortion to be repugnant, especially when it is so often performed as casually as birth control... I can sympathize with the "Right to Lifers" in their abject horror and offer an understanding nod to their position of "murder" and not "abortion"... BUT...

...while we all agree that shooting a thirty year old man in the head an incontrovertible homicide not everyone in our country agrees that life begins at conception. We also have no clear community position on Euthanasia, a related concept. With so many questions and so much at stake, I don't believe it is our government's right to impose one group's morality on another by passing laws. If you believe strongly one way or another, find a venue other than legislation to persuade your neighbor.
